Replacing the headlights on a Toyota Sienna can be done with few, if any, tools.

Replacing a burned out headlight on a Toyota Sienna minivan can be done quickly with few, if any, tools. Models made after 2004 can take General Electric headlight bulbs coded as GE9006. Prior year Siennas accept AC Delco model number 900SLL. These are available at auto parts retailers and typically cost around $14. To locate the bulbs, you'll need to open the hood and look down at the backside of the headlight housing.

  • GE9006 replacement headlight bulb

      Identify the wire connector located on the back of the headlight bulb assembly near the front fender of the Sienna.

      Gently pull the wire connected to the back of the bulb. If necessary, wiggle the wire to detach it from the electrical retainer.

      Remove the rubber cover on the back of the headlight assembly. Release the spring latch on the retainer and remove the burned out bulb.

      Insert the new bulb into the receptacle until it snaps into place. Wear gloves to keep the oil on your fingers from getting on the bulb.

      Place the rubber cap on the back of the headlight assemly. Attach the electrical wire connector. Turn on headlights to test the bulb before operating vehicle.
